Other – Matter Medley

This is the space between states. The realm where things dissolve their old forms before revealing what they’re becoming.

Aquatic Galaxy - Shallow universe with algae as stardust and celestial nebulae, Padang Bai, Bali, Indonesia, 2019

AQUATIC GALAXY

Photographed 2019, Padang Bai, Bali, Indonesia | Published 2021

In this shallow world, revealed,
a universe.
Where algae turn into stardust and sea anemones bloom like celestial nebulae.

Tiny barnacles scatter like diamond dust across this underwater galaxy.
A new discovery, a new beginning – at this place I passed.
Its secluded beauty held me, and I returned.
To linger for a while.

The Void - Geological formation with flowing darkness and white elements, Nusa Lembongan, Indonesia, 2019

THE VOID

Photographed 2019, Almlapura, Bali, Indonesia | Published 2019

Spellbound, I descend into the darkness, into a flowing geological formation that welcomes me.
The blackness does not consume me; it is the pure form of the origin, enveloped in clear white.
How do I find the patience to discover all this?
I wait.
Everything flows; nothing is static; everything is in flux.
I go with it.

I go along, flickering between the shadows.
The image stands still, but I – I do not.

Distortion - Dark portal with ghostly chalk traces and chaos at center, Düsseldorf, Germany, 2020

DISTORTION

Photographed 2020, Düsseldorf, Germany | Published 2021

The surface has been altered.
Burnt, broken, smudged.
In the centre is a disruption, and a dark portal opens inward, leaving faint traces of chalk around it.

They are ghostly notes, and I catch a glimpse of written instructions that have given my inner self a voice.
They could be memories, thoughts or even dreams.

I try to grasp them, to sort them out.

But my gaze is drawn to the center of chaos, and I—
I don’t understand.

Abstract textured artwork “Poseidon’s Wrath,” created in Lohne, Germany. Metallic and watery layered textures suggest crashing waves, storm energy, and mythological force. Captured 2020, published 2025.

POSEIDON’S WRATH

Photographed 2020, Düsseldorf, Germany | Published 2021

My hands are cold.
Where did it go wrong?
Have the gods forsaken us, or is it their answer to what we did?

Swaying, I can barely hold myself.
Thunder is near, and I feel that there is no hope left, as the waves crash against my future.
