“Weird and otherworldly shapes fascinate me, as I love deteriorating metal, wood, glass and other substances that are full of colour, texture and contrast.“
Anett Alexandra Bulano was born in 1987 in Pawlohrad, Ukraine. Moving around as a child, she grew up in a small village in East Germany, surrounded by nature. Anett enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Dresden, Germany, where she graduated as an SFX make-up designer and has worked as a freelance artist since 2017.
Anett loves to capture the extraordinary, the details, the little things that others may not be able to notice. Working with her Camera, she uses macro photography to portray seemingly new and enchanting worlds. Pieces captured from a bird’s-eye view appear almost painterly, with great detail to texture and contrast. Using her fascination for the otherworldly and the fantastical, she combines abstract artwork with the human psyche and the battle between light and darkness.
Anett’s work invites the viewer to open up to the possibility of the extraordinary. To look at our truly beautiful world with open eyes.
