Metal – Alloy Odyssey

Matter frozen in its own stasis, everchanging,

MOTHER – Leipzig, Germany, 2023

We are suspended in the primordial soup.
So close.
Two worlds, yet once we were one.

We touch each other but do not merge.
Secure, warm, yet divided.
Like islands, we float in the dark sea.

How I wished to be closer to you.
But we are corroded, broken, divided, only to be frozen again in an indissoluble bond.

Life sways in the infinite silence of becoming.
We are familiar with each other.

I still feel torn apart, even though we are now closer than ever before.
We are one, and yet –
Secrets remain secret.

GALACTIC WATERFALLS – Nördlingen, Germany, 2022

A transformation.
A slow, alchemical process that sings with the voice of time and carries the shimmer of distant stars.
A shimmering light, and the surface opened like a celestial scroll:
metal, reflection and wonder.
Spilling downward as if gravity had loosened its grip and allowed colour to fall like water.

Each patch of patina feels like another, new way in to the unknown.
A silent map of change, and it reminded me:
Even decay can become wonder.
Even rust can be a revelation.
Gently etched in time.

Layer by layer.

THE PROMISED – Ahaus, Germany, 2020

Am I at the centre of the universe?
Everything revolves around me.
I stand here and wait.

For whom?

I was ready to break out and run away, never having to decide and free from all responsibility.
But never without you.

Here, we bind ourselves, and their eyes, they watch.
Observing every step and every moment, ready in case everything falls apart.

It is fear.
We stand here, but we are greater.
Even greater and fused, even back then, when we looked into each other’s eyes.

Silence.
One step, and it keeps turning.
You are mine.

LONGING – Nördlingen, Germany, 2020

A quiet ode to the ancient language of devotion —
where even corroded metal becomes a sacred theatre for two souls reaching across the void.

Turquoise veins shimmering like ornamental drapings, adorned with stones from distant bazaars.
Golden streams glowing with the warmth of desert sunsets.

The figure emerges.
Clear and yearning.
It wants to reach out.

The other… Beyond.
A presence perhaps imagined.
Is there hope in this mirage?

The surface no longer seems forgotten.
It’s an eternal story etched in decay.

Ææa — Kassel, Germany, 2018

This is my homage to forgotten realms —
about the vision of the cartographer of sunken empires
that never made it onto modern maps.

Circe’s magical island.

Reflective, shiny metal, like centuries-old parchment,
shaped by salty air and time.
A divine landscape, lost but not forgotten.
Ancient, magical and always changing.

Another look,
a rough feeling,
and a look through time.
The island,

She found me.
